Just do it....Where ever you call, I can assure you most of the people there are in recovery themselves....They know exactly what you're going through. No one is going to judge you....Although you may feel that way because of the crappy lies the disease tells us.....

haha true... 'because of the crappy lies the disease tells us.'
but yeah, i am trying to think of an adult...my parents are bahai, so they are having a meeting at my house on sunday...i might ask one of them i am close with, but i guess that would be weird because bahais are against drinking and drugs, (i am not a bahai) so yeah, but they are open and understanding so maybe :/

Ok....Wait. You can't afford for your parents to know? The last thing any parent wants to do is bury their child. How old are you?

Good idea, Dee. I looked up the California NA Hotline: 24-hour Hotline (909) 622-4274. I know it's scary, arjck. But people reach out for help everyday, and that's why there are places like this, and AA and NA, and counselors, etc.

I think the reason we're so persistent is because we KNOW it must be even scarier for someone your age, and we want you to get the help you need. You would do the same for your best friend, I'd bet.

We're here for you.

Arjck

it would be irresponsible of anyone to give you medical advice here. You need to see a Dr. or at the very least ring one of those hotlines, but I think their advice will be the same.

As I've been saying the whole thread, I don't think this is a secret you can keep. As scary as it is, I think you really need to get your parents in on this.

Arjck, I don't think you're complaining at all. I haven't read over every post but I've scanned through some of them. I'm only seventeen and I'm struggling with a Xanax addiction myself. We could come together and help each other. Being addicted to Xanax is like being in hell. You have it, you feel alive but yet so relaxed. You don't have it, you're sick as heck. (or at least I am) I've had to pull myself from it a few times and for about three days I did nothing but lay in bed with a fever. It's dangerous. Both you and I need help and any time that you need to talk about experiences, just PM me. I'll be happy to reply with all the knowledge that I have.

We're both way too young to be ruining our lives like this. There's so much more to life than this and we'll get through it some how.

Hi arjck. I'm glad you are reaching out for help and support. It makes me happy that you are finding it helpful and comforting. How are you doing this evening? I need to go get my daughter from work right now but will check this when I get home. K

I'm sorry I missed you. We live in the Boony's so it takes a long time to drive anywhere. Hopefully you are peacefully at sleep. Hang in there girl.

arjck - just wanted to add that if you start going into withdrawals, you can always drive yourself to an ER (and let them contact your parents). Just be safe today and keep checking in, OK?
