Day 15 and there is a glimmer of hope

Well its day 15 and things went well today. It's my first day i abstained from my Lorazapam the Dr. gave me. Eating everything I can get my hands on. Gained 13 pounds in 14 days. Sounds bad but I needed it. Before I got heavy into drinking I was about 180 lbs. At my peak of drinking 15 days ago I was at 142 lbs. Now I'm back to 155. But enough on the weight stuff. I had a decent day at work and came home (usually this is my trouble time) and just relaxed. Can't say that beer didn't cross my mind but I wasn't overbearing, which is a first in a long time. Hope this continues. I like a hint of some progress.

Hi mftrader,

Congrats on 15 days, well done!! Sounds like your body is saying thanks and getting back into some sort of rhythm. I was given the same drug back in December and did not find much use for it, easy to come off of. (Did not help me quit then though) I'm glad you are doing well, and I'll keep you in my thoughts. One day at a time, you can do it.....

Best,

Traid.
