Those are signs of withdrawal but I urge you to please contact your doctor or even go to the ER if you get very bad. Alcohol detox can be deadly and you really shouldn't try to do it alone.

Please get help from a qualified professional if things get any worse. Just like suki said, you can DIE from alcohol withdraws.

Emergency Room!

I had withdrawl seizures several times quitting cold turkey and those are similar symptoms.

Ok just saw your post above..... sounds scary to me, best of luck and hope you consult a doctor.

Have you found her? Dedubya... it must be so, so hard right now for you... No advice here... You do not want her to come back and find you drunk too. You will not be able to help if you cannot help yourself. Hopefully someone with more DT experience can give you a few useful tips

Do not use the fear of DT to keep drinking... Easier said than done I guess.

You got a physician you can call... all you need is a seizure or something in the middle of this crisis with your daughter...

you are having a double whammy with the emotional crisis and upset, plus not drinking....I would attribute it to like being in a constant "fight or flight mode"....your body and mind just cannot relax....you are too upset understandably.

i agree that you need to contact your doc for some help to get through this....and I hope you can also get someone to assist you in finding your child.

(my daughter ran off 3X in one year as a teenager, it was a flipping nightmare for the week when I didn't know if she was dead or alive)

A racing heart is definitely cause to get checked by a doctor. This can lead to extremely high blood pressure and stroke. PLEASE, seek medical attention. This isn't the time to tough it out.

Hi Dub,

Alcohol is progressive - it always gets worse, so this could be DTs this time.

Please get some medical help ....and please call that old sponsor of yours and ask for help too in the midst of this crisis.

You can't do this on your own and you don't have to.

(((Dubs)))

Do give your doctor a call. I never had the DT's but did need some help with withdrawals. It's a medical condition that needs medical help. I was given meds and emotional support. Right now, with all you have going on with your daughter, you could use some extra support. Please give your doctor or the ER a call.

I'm am still sending out my best thoughts for your daughter. I hope she turns up soon. Do keep us posted. And please, take care of yourself so you can deal with all of this.

Much love,

Lenina

The best course is always to see a Dr, Dub.
What to say, tell them the truth.

The last thing your daughter needs now is for you to be incapacitated or something even worse.

Calling a Dr is the responsible, adult, thing to do, Dub.
