Are hand made chips "french fries?"

I like a variety of things. Depends on the mood. I'm not usually a fried/oily person. I'd prefer salads with shredded baked or grilled chicken, home made spaghetti, BBQ'd meat of all types (I usually grill lamb with salt, pepper, and rosemary--new york cut steaks with salt, pepper, and garlic-- chicken and seafood). What about home made soups or chili? Broiled fish is good, or occasionally Japanese food.

I love all types of food and learning to cook it. It's one of my hobbies.

Your wishes are my command! Just don't be late!

Hi MF, yes, french fries, my favourite! you don't need too much oil, i usually put them in oven, drizzle on olive oil, yummy! i like the sound of grilled lamb... when Ninja comes to visit we can do Japanese.. with the speed of our jet shouldn't be late, but with my kiddies, who knows.

Gosh I'm STARVVVING now after reading all of your posts - lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well I can certainly make a good Greek salad being married to a Greek ;-)

Mf; I also love to cook and feel it's really theraputic and relaxing! I mainly cook Italian and Asian style food but also some Greek, Irish and Belgian/French/Spanish/Mexican from time to time. If I'm going out with the girls we usually opt for Thai/Viet and with the hubby usually to Italian or Greek restos :-)

My favourite dish for the moment is seafood risotto (risotto al mare) which I ate an abundance of last year on our hols in Sicily and have learned how to cook it for us since.

Belgium is the 'home' of the chip and they usually serve it in cones from their 'frit cot' (chip van!):

But it's still hard to beat homemade chips back home in Ireland..yummmmmmmmm!!

Well done to you all and hope you're having a delicious day :-)

Big hugs,

Almath

Hope everything is well with you and hope your mum is doing well too. I did p.m you a week or so ago. I love cooking too. I love curries and chillie. Indian food is my favourite

Be good all. Night night. Gxx

Big hugs

P.s I thing we are all nutcases, but I'm loving it! xx

Hi
I'm back again with a very quick one, then I really must get to bed. It is quarter past midnight and I'm up at 0630. Just wanted to share a poem with you that a lovely lady gave me at one of the meetings. I'm going to buy myself a little note book at w.end and write all the verses, poems and quotes in it that 'keep me going'.

THE DASH

I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend,
He referred to the date on her tombstone from the beginning to the end.

He noted that first came the date of her birth and spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time that she spent alive on earth,
And now only those who loved her know what that little line is worth,

For it matters not how much we own, the cars, the house, the cash
What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard, are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left, that still can be rearranged,

If we could just slow down enough to consider what's true and real
And always try to understand the way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger, and show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives, like we've never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect and more often wear a smile
Remembering this special dash might only last a while.

So when your eulogy is being read with your life/'s actions to rehash
Would you be proud of the things they say about how you spent your dash?

Hope you like it!

Night nightxxxxG

Hi all. No internet access at work again, I have a feeling our access has been revoked for misuse! (whoops). Sorry I missed tea. I'll do a Sunday breakfast for everyone shall I?

Almath I love your jet and logo too, very clever!

Almay, I've told the H that I wont be drinking on holiday and I'm going to tell the couple we are going with the same! This is my chance to show that I mean everything I have said about giving up alcohol and action speaks louder than words! I have to do this and I will do this.

For some reason I've been having flashbacks all day about some of the terrible things I've done when drunk and they aren't good memories at all! I've been so bad!

Ninja, it's good to hear from you. Hope you enjoyed dinner. I love the warm weather but not so much at night as I cant sleep when it's too hot!

MF150, a pickle at 2.46 a.m!!! Have you something else you wish to share with us?

Anyway, speak tomorrow.

Night night

Gxxx
