Wow What a difference
Day 8. First Monday in a long time totally sober or not hungover. I have much energy and have got more done by 9:00 than I usually get done by noon. The first big plus in my sobriety. The weekend was tough but I made it. But, I do know that this afternoon at quitting time I will be back ready for my usual happy hour that I will have to fight off.
Well Done!!!
Yes its hard, i have the crazy cravings, especially as England played USA on Saturday and all i saw was those damn commercials!!
Keep up the good work, day by day, damn, second by second if need be, thats what i do!
Have a great day!

It's amazing what we put ourselves through - thinking we're making life easier and more enjoyable by getting numb. My life was so much more stressful trying to hide my drinking, dealing with hangovers, jitters & shakes.
It's inspiring to see how good you're all feeling as you begin this new chapter of your lives. The temptations will get less - & I find them almost non-existent now.

I think it's funny but when ever i see a sign for happy hour I can't help but think that the last thing I need is cheaper drinks.. I've never had a problem getting obliterated at full price.. please don't do me any favors. thank you very much..

congrats on your accomplishment and congrats on feeling well.
You can create your OWN version of Happy Hour, that is truly happy....with no consequences....be nice to yourself after the day is done...enjoy something that you can appreciate if you are sober...buy yourself a small treat, even if it is just a new magazine or CD or download...which will remind you everytime you listen to it.
