Well, Im on day 8 and let me tell you, best 6 days of my life(first 2 were the worst). My anxiety is gone, Ive already lost 12lbs. Im starting a 7 day cleansing supplement program tommorow and going to start taking multi vitamins. Ive started running and getting back into the gym. I love it. Thanks to you guys, everytime i start thinking about drinking, i come on the forums to just read some of your stories and suprisingly, it gets my mind off it.

But...

What has also helped tremendously is Netflix and True Blood, just started watching it and its an amazing show. Gives me something to do and keeps my mind off drinking. So thanks to you guys and the wonderful world of bloodsuckers, I am alcohol free for what will be 9 days tomorrow.

Also, looks as if God was behind me this weekend and my camping trip got canceled so i wasnt even tempted to binge drink. woot woot

SR is a Godsend! I'm on Day 4 and if it weren't for my SR friends, I NEVER would have made it.

Congrats on 8 days sober!!!!! That's AWESOME!!

And yes, True Blood is quite addictive :-) I can't wait until the new season starts which should be soon I think. I'm going to Google that now...

LOL , There was a thread about a month ago about bizarre movies and everyone here at SR was listing their favorites...so I joined Netflix to see Bad Boy Bubby because its hard to find, and it was hilarious. So for under $10 a month which is nothing compared to what I used to spend on booze..I have spent my sleepless nights between reading SR posts and watching bizarre movies :rotfxko

Congrats ATS on your 9 days ! I found multi vitamins helped a lot with my first week, sleep is still erratic but so much better than the first week...with the help of Netflix too !

the grocery stores have a great variety of "relaxing teas"....a couple of cups really make a difference in getting more sleep for me...along with a valarian capsul and a melatonin capsule....another thing that seems to help me sleep is a small dish of ice cream...

I take my supplements religiously and prefer the capsulated or liquid forms...they digest and absorb easier for me....I use Procaps labs that i purchase on line....very pure. i love the Resveratrol and this one called PM relaxation.

SR changed me and saved me from myself...seriously.

Yes, HBO but i doubt you will find it on netflix streaming sadly. It's got a lot of nudity. Can probably rent it though. I just got lucky and my friend had the seasons on DVD.

If you want something hilarious to watch, I found Arrested Development absolutely hilarious which is available streaming. It'll keep you laughing til you fall asleep.

I have HBO, can just order it On Demand too for $5.00 a month to catch the last season....I've never used netflix.

BTW, another show to get into (6 seasons on DVD) is The Shield. it ended a couple of years ago....also like Mad Med and Damages, great story lines.
