I have 6 mos today!!!!
I remember when I litereally couldnt put 2 seconds together. The only times I put the pipe down was when I passed out from being up for a week. And all those false starts. I thought I was doomed to die in the streets. I really did. Although 6 mos is still very early, and I am way far from having anything down. I have learned so much from you guys here. I started my first attempt here. And here I am 3 yrs later with 6 mos!!
I have never been clean this long. Not since I started using at 12.
Thats 23 yrs almost. Half a year!!!
Look out 1 year, Here I come!!! And then I can get my tat. LOL

I am VERY roud of you, another poster just above yours has 6 months today too!!! What a great day here at SR!!!! Very inspirational for me.
I will have to ask you the same thing I asked them if you dont mind and that is how did you get that far. I know to you and generally speanking 6 months is not that long in the grand scheme of sobriety but me sitting here on day 6 which is HUGE for me just at your 6 MONTHS is for you, is a long road and very very hard to get to so can you please let me know what support systems you are using, any "tricks" you are using when you get cravings, urges to use etc. basically how you did it?
That would help me VERY much becasue as I sit here at 6 dyas only getting to 30 days 2-3 times in my entire adult life (except for my entire pregnancy where I didnt drink or use AT ALL somehow) I am setting up those systems now, I have remewed my faith in God, have gone to NA but am going to give AA a try hopefully for the first time tonight (just need to make sure my hubby can weatch daughter) and of course SR which besides God has been my biggest support!
Please let me know what you did and are still doing if you dont mind b.c I want what you have and you obviously did it right!!!
CONGRATULAITONS again anf KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
