I'm FORTY!!!!!!!! Aaaaaaa!!!!!!
Ok, it's going to be a mellow day for me, but I wanted to share that yes, I am officially "in my forties" today. I remember when I was turning "30" I thought I was getting old, LOL!!!!
I did go to Sunfest yesterday, I posted some pix in my profile, they are just of some artwork, but today I think the little man and I are going to hit the pool and just chill out.
Yesterday we also stopped at this new bake shop called "Sugar Chef".........OMG!!!! They have the best cupcakes!!! So we got four of them. Ate two yesterday and saved the other two for today.
I've also been sober for just about 2 1/2 years now so I am also halfway through to my three years.
In regards to Sunfest, it's also a big "drinking" fest with wine booths, rum drinks and beer, so we all knew what I was doing there back in the day. I have gone to that fest for so many years (less the last few of them due to wanting to stay sober
) so yesterday was my first sober run there.
I should really take a pic of these cupcakes, you gotta see them.......

Happy Birthday!! What's 40? It's nothing. I'm 58 and it's not so bad.

You rock Veg!! Happy Birthday and enjoy that pool! We are getting snow today, but don't waste your time feeling sorry for me. I will do it for you. LOL! Have I told you how much I LOVE pools?! Enjoy your day and be happy!! You are an awesome person and an amazing woman. You've come a long way Baby!!! Remember those ads? Maybe you are too young.

Happy birthday! My Mom once gave me a card that said something to the effect of "Don't worry about how old you are today, for in a few years you will wish you are the age that you are now."

Happy Birthday! I didn't get sober until I was 48....so you are way ahead of the game, in my world!
Question: What does it mean that you're 'half way through to your 3 years'? Not sure if 3 years is something significant, that I've missed?

when i was in my late teens/early twenties i belong to an boxing club..no great boxer but kept me fit between bouts of boozing.
recently i said to my wife i might go and check-out our local boxing club.....and she hasnt stopped laughing yet........that was 4 days ago.
enjoy your birthday...lol........my body is 44 this year......my mind still sees a twenty year old in the mirror.......that all that matters..
