Update.. 1 week!
Hello again everyone! I am so happy to report that it's been a week sober for me. It hasn't been easy, I won't lie. I got really sick on the third day - puking all day, couldn't keep water down even. It lasted about a day. If anything, I'll always remember how horrid that was.
Since then I've gotten a cold, which I attribute to having a lowered immune system. Besides that I feel pretty darn good. I can't explain how wonderful it is to wake up not hating myself for drinking again. Sometimes I get worried about how I'm going to deal with everything, saying no, etc, but then I remind myself that I just need to focus on not having a drink today.
The best thing that I've done to help deal with the cravings/habits:
1. I went to the library and have been reading a lot. That was something I could never do when drinking.
2. I don't drive by or go to Trader Joe's anymore (where I got my drinks)
3. I confided in my sister and she's been keeping me accountable

Awesome job!!! My quit day is the Monday coming, I hope I don't get sick like you did, were you drinking very heavily? I have a doctor's appointment on the Wed should I get sick or something.

Way to go on a week! WHOOO HOOO!
Yes that first week is very hard. You will find out that somewhere around the two week period you will be on a pink cloud! somewhere around that time between the 2-3 week you will become very happy! Just be careful also cause sometimes we want to celebrate! If ya do just celebrate a different way!:day2
