Freedom Just a tad over 10 months now and I'm so grateful to wake up EVERY day with a clear head and the motivation to enjoy another sober day. It's hard to put into words, but I just don't want or need a drink. I have come to accept the fact that alcohol is no longer a part of my life. I look back at that person that used to plan the whole day around getting drunk and think "what a fool". I feel that it was a stage of my life that's now over and I'm moving on to better things, yet I never want to forget what it felt like to be a slave to alcohol. Thanks to all of you here at SR for the wonderful resource. Here's to one more sober day! |
Congrats on the 10 months, glad things our going very well for you. Keep up the good work. Dean |
That's the worst, when you plan the binge fully recognizing how messy you're going to be and what you'll be drinking by that stage etc. Jesus. I'd love to be able to go to a party with all our former selves, it would put anyone off drinking :P Congrats on the 10 month mark mate! |
Congrats FBL :D D |
