Went to first meeting tonight.
 

I went to my first meeting tonight. It started at 8 but I didn't get the courage to go in until 8:40. Everyone was really nice. I talked. I didn't admit to being an alcoholic. I'm not there yet but everyone was very supportive. A lot of people came up to me after the meeting to talk to me and encourage me to come back and tell me they know how I feel. I think I will. I don't know if I'm ready to stop. In fact I know I'm not. But I'm ready to start trying.

People were so nice and supportive. I did not feel judged at all. Talking was SO scary though but everyone told me it was really brave and they told me a lot about how to help myself and how they were just like me. I'm really glad I went.

Me too... keep going back... I read your last thread, I think you might hear some things.... ;)

I am glad it went so well for you. I've had good experiences at meetings and always leave feeling better than when I came. Next time go earlier!:)
