Bored3, I had to shake up my routines completely to stop the pattern of getting home from work and pouring the first glass. As Dee said, if nothing changes, nothing changes, and a simple change was to join a nearby gym and stop for exercise instead of going straight home from work. That got me home later plus I was more focused on how I physically felt after a good workout which led to nourishing my body in a better way. Whether you make little changes or big changes, changes are necessary.

Just checking in. It's a Friday night and this is the time I usually go down to the shop to buy my drink for the night, it's tempting but I know I don't need it.
Thanks for the posts so far guys, it does help.

Strange this, just had an idea to look through my old posts and noticed that it's a year since I joined up. I've been off and on since, makes me think I could have had a year today. Kinda sucks.
Also makes me wonder if my life has been any more enriched over that past year.
Congratulations to anybody who has managed to stay sober over this time.

Thanks for the words, it's just kind of hit me it being that day.
And the initial cravings are starting, the thought that I could go to the shop and get some booze for the night, I always hate the first couple of days
