5 Days In

Hi All,

I had to count up the days, but I haven't had a drink since Saturday. I feel pretty good. Pretty grumpy. I think that may be my natural demeanor though. It was just masked by the hungover sick feeling. lol...

I went to my first meeting yesterday evening. It was a f to f SMART meeting. I enjoyed it ok, but I would have really liked it if there were more people there. The facilitator was really knowledgable and provided a lot of information. It mostly helped because I really felt like going to the bar to deal with not feeling like being at home. My health still stinks so the gym wasn't really an option. So on to the meeting I went. I think I'll be back.

Again the real challenge will be the weekend, but I am finding I like feeling better...

Thanks To All,
Eric

Way to go on not drinking for five days.:c011: The first week or so is rough, no doubt about it. But it does get better. :)

Way to go, Eric! A meeting is always the better alternative to the bar - any place where there's like-minded people to support you, like here as well.

Smart choice (no pun intended). lol
