hi,
i just found this site and i am recently out of trtmt. 70 days sober:c032:
i have a few questions, i was taking benzos,opiates, and amphetamines. i have been gaining more weight and just wondering if anyone else had this problem. is my metabolism messed up or am i just fat:react:thanks

Congratulations on your 70 days sober! That's great!

Have you talked to your dr about your weight gain? I have no personal experience with the drugs, but I know others will be along who may have some insight.

I don't have any experience with these drugs either but wondered if the weight gain is something that happened almost overnight since you indicated that you just recently left treatment. No weight gain in treatment? Any dr. involved who could answer?

I'd post this on the substance abuse forum too - it may have already been asked and answered so some searching over there might shed some light on your question, but I'd ask again anyway. Take care.

I'd check with my doctor too - they know you and your medical history better than anyone here can...but you can always check here and in our substance abuse forum for other peoples similar experiences :)
