Morning Day 4
 

Well its day four. I finally got a good nights sleep last night. Slept sound from midnight to 7. Feeling pretty good. The first few days and nights were highly anxietal and sleepless. Still feel a little on edge when something surprises me. Made an appointment for Monday to visit my doctor and an appointment with an addiction specialist for a 1 on 1 . This site is great. Im new but have been lurking since Tuesday. Just want to thank all of you for the inspiration to take this wonderful, long needed step in the right direction. I'm starting to feel like this will work out wonderfully. Enjoy the day all!

Hi fifty. I'm in the same boat, just found the site and just starting day 5. I'm going to call my doctor today and make an appt. How did you select your "specialist" counselor? Was he/she recommended.

Try to stay positive ANXIETY SUCKS I no mine has started to get some better today is day 13 for me

I have a brother who (in jail now) did a bunch of sessions with this specialist for a serious coke problem. Im strictly alcoholic. Coke would really put the nail in the coffin if I started to use it . My brother liked him a lot but i guess it didnt help him much being that he is in jail. But it is a first step for me. I have very limited experience in counseling. I intend to ask my physician who he recomends.
