Wow, thanks so much for the kind words everyone. This is such a wonderful feeling. I was basically cornered into recovery.. it was either this or winding up 6ft under.. Who would have imagined it would turn out this way? Hmm, LOL, maybe I'll write a "my story" after all, when I reach my one year mark.
Angie.. I think most of us have met lots of people here in SR. I sure have, in the chatroom and on the boards, hundreds of them. I've made many good friends, a couple of whom I consider close confidantes and whose friendship I value immensely.
But many others are no longer active SR members. Some took what they needed and have moved on with their lives, others check in every now and then... but so many are unaccounted for.. and that's just bittersweet and sad breaks my heart. So I've suddenly realised that's why I posted this thread... to get a sense of continuity and permanence, even though it's a bit of an illusion and not always quite like that.
Anyway.. ((hugs)) to us - the ones who remain... And to the "Newbies", and all of those yet to come, seeking help and understanding
Matty, has it been 2 years already?!.......Gee-that just seems like yesterday---when the Huggy Brigade (you know who all I am referring to) first began. Those were some fun times. (Back in the day)...(Back when we were all younger..... ) Wheeeeeeeeeeee! Wonder were some of those folks went--hope they are well. Take care!
