60 days today! Wow, 60 days.... Never thought I would get here but I have. I have to say its been a tough road for me but at the end of every day I am going to bed without having picked up a drink. Things are starting to change for me now...I am in no hurry - well I am but my sponsor just tells me to slow down hehe It took me ages to get a sponsor and to join a home group and I dont recommend the wait because since I have done that I have felt relief and a sense of belonging and comforted that my recovery is truly now my number 1 priority. My life has changed for the better in sooo many ways but I wont say that sitting at 60 days its all peachy..that isnt reality...some days really suck, but it doesnt make me wanna pick up the drink and instead of hiding things in a bottle, I now face them...thats the biggest challenge I face today. Other days I truly feel like I am on top of the world. Those days are starting to outweight the bad ones..for that i am grateful. LH |

Fantastic! |
Way to go!! ;) I'm with you on the 'reality' of living sober. Some days do suck, there's no getting around that, but I wouldn't trade my worst day sober for my best day drunk. There's no comparison! And waking up sober feels SO good! |
:a122:..great news,well done..Oz.. |
Congrats! Thanks for sharing and I am glad we can be here together, sober and taking back control of our lives. |

http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/j...esomeMeter.gif Congratulations on 60 days! I'm glad to hear you're going to Meetings and got a Sponsor. Just remember one thing, the day you think you don't need a Meeting is the day you'll need to be at one the most. Keep doing what you're doing and I'm sure we'll be sharing many more milestones with you. God Bless, Judy |
YESSSS!!! Excellent! :c011: I know this will sound as nutty as a squirrel turd, but today I cam grateful to be living life on life's terms...INCLUDING the hard stuff. Good for you! |
