Hello everyone. Im new to the forums and this is my first post. Not really sure where im going with this but it is great to see a community of people like myself. As of right now I have been sober for around 24 hours and am just trying to take it one day, one minute at a time. I cant actually remember the last time I went a day without using because my last drink was yesterday morning around this time. Im not sure where this post is going it just feels nice to write something down.

There is plenty of support and knowledge around here.
Sometimes it is just nice to be in a place where people are in the same boat as you are.
:bus I couldn't find a boat so we will have to be on the same bus. :)

Welcome to SR! Lots of support and good information here. Congrats on deciding to get sober. It's hard at first but the rewards are many, and it's so great to wake up not feeling like death warmed over.

If you have any bad problems with getting thru withdrawal, please see a doctor for medical help.

First, welcome to SR and thanks so much for your post! Whether you realize it or not, you've taken a big first step by simply writing the truth.

Speaking of which, I would encourage you to keep writing. I keep a blog and a journal and have found both of them to be great avenues for getting my emotions out.
