Look who turned 90!
Look who turned 90!
Wow, I remember when I registered on SR, 90 days of sobriety seems like old timer status! And now I'm here, I have 90 days! Nearly eight million sober heartbeats.
Thanks to everyone, even when we disagree and we sure disagree a lot in the 12 step forum! LOL!

I can tell you, in hindsight, that 90 days was probably the most important point for me in sobriety, because I believe I made a commitment to something and I kept it.
Sometimes people tell me because I have been sober now for 22 years that I have a 'long' time sober. And I tell them who have 90 days, one month or even two weeks...
'no,,,,,,it is YOU who have been sober a LONG time.
And I hope one day you will realize what I mean.
When one truly comes to 'live one day at a time'....this time in sobriety becomes rather moot if ya think about it.
Besides, it tells me I'm 22 years 'older', too. LOL
Congrats on yer 90 days. Keep at it.

Thanks all.
The bummer is that I woke up with a ferocious cold! Ugh!
I had a nice big bottle of Nyquil, which I saw the 10% alcohol content and poured it down the drain. I wasn't about to mess up my 90 days. Then I found some Nyquil Day capsules, and they were five years expired.
Rats! Think I'll just take some Advil and go take a nap.

WakeUp, congratulations. I have my 90 days on Tues.
I don't know how I did it. And I don't know how I stopped to begin with, it still floors me. Only rarely would I go without drinking every day, for years. I can remember the signs in my first few years of being of legal age (which is when I started), but I would say the addiction cemented about 14 years ago. I was great at having 1 drink only or 0 at parties and functions so that I could maintain a good appearance or so that I could drive home - and then proceed to have my "medication" as soon as possible once I was home. I know this will be familiar to a lot of people. So somehow that cycle has been broken and I am sticking with it!
Anyway, thanks for the opportunity to share.
