Hurting bad right now
 

I just got back home from the mountains. A friend of ours was reported missing in a remote section of my state. While a group of us were out searching the area for him we found out that he had taken his own life. Very sad and tragic ending for such a wonderful human being as he was.

Most of the group raised a glass of cheap whiskey in his honor, (I raised my water glass) and toasted his memory.

You will be missed, you big teddy bear.

I'm so very sorry that you lost your friend. That's an unimaginable thing to have happen. Sometimes this world is just too much to bear & the pain too great.

I'm sure this news may have tempted you to have a drink of that whiskey. I'm so glad you didn't. It's really best to go through these things clear-headed - it took me a lifetime to realize that. Sending love to you.

For a friend to die is bad enough, but when they take their own life it's a thousand times worse. I'm sorry for your loss.

How sad....I'm very sorry to hear about your loss.

Thanks everybody. Whenever I hike the trails of the shimmering green rainforests, I will forever remember my friend and his spirit will be with me.
