You Get a Pay Raise! Hi All, Three weeks sober tomorrow ( I can say that because I'M NOT GOING TO DRINK TODAY) and I was sitting here have a cup of coffee and paying bills (arg) when I started doing some math. On average I spent 18.00 per/day drinking ( a bottle of wine + a four pack to hide in the garage... sick!). **(18 x 7) x 4 } x 12 = 6,048 This was just my weekly maintanence expense. Not to mention nights out with the wife and game day with the boys. Well over 10K in my calculation. I guess my point is, on top of the health & spiritual aspects of getting sober we all get a raise. Good thing in this economy! Blessing to all, |
Yeah, that was a trip to finally see how crazy it was to have $275 booze monthly budget. It was alway's the first thing on my list coded: "Kim" Just my name! Like booze and me were the same thing. |
I have no clue how much I spent over my long drinking career. I was a blackout drunk who carried cash to bars. My AA chair is the most expensive thing I've owned. But.....it's value is priceless...:yup: Well done on your early sober time...:a122: Forward we go...side by side |
Staying sober saves me money and eliminates risk! What a bargain!! :) |
