Happiness yer happiness!
Natural happiness from the positives of recovery is worth way more than any high from booze or drugs. No contest.
You've just gotta stick with it and keep the faith!! Recovery is difficult at times but the happiness from it is warm and long-lasting without any sudden crash!! So easy to forget what happiness actually feels like and mistake happiness for euphoria whils't in the midst of active alcoholism/drug addiction.
I don't crave that creation of instant happiness that I used to when drinking and drugging but rather just am satisfied with being.
