Four weeks Four weeks today; in two days I will have earned my 30 day chip. I am going to go and get it, too. I've been doing well this time around. There were several problems getting in my way, and I've been addressing them one by one. I was depressed, I had health problems that had not been diagnosed, I had an emotional situation that I needed to get a better handle on, and so forth. Making the decision to not drink has forced me to confront and address each of these problems individually. I don't think I'm out of the woods and I know I'm always in danger of picking up again, but I'm stronger right now than I was. It's an interesting journey :) |
It sure is, but I know for myself I couldn't do it unless I'm sober and face all problems without my two faced friend the booze. Well done on 30 days. I also think it's great that you are aware how quickly we can be pulled back into that vicious cycle. Sometimes we feel too great (that pink cloud) to even consider it, that is when it catches us out. Well done. |

Yay! Well done. It took me getting sober to start to deal with all the other BS. No way could I have done it drunk. Still a ways to go, but at least making progress. |
Congrats on 30 days sober!! I agree so much with how you are feeling. Thanks for sharing and keep on going!! |
