Hi, I'm Sasha. I've been struggling with alcoholism for about five years now. I'm tired of being a slave to it and having it constantly ruin my plans, dreams, friendships, and relationships.

I found this community by searching the internet, and it seems like I could meet a lot of good people here for support.

Anyway, I don't really know what else to say. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Hi Sasha! Welcome to SR and it is a great community. You are right about that. I stumbled here around May of 2008 and haven't left. :)

A couple of things I've thought to add to my op- I'm fairly young (22), I'm mentally ill (manic-depressive) - which my substance abuse has only helped to make more impossible to manage...and I'm normally a bookish person when I'm not out of control. Anyway, I really hope to get sober and I need all the support I can get.
