2010: A New Beginning
 

I'm in. Are you? A new year. A fresh chance. In truth, everyday is a fresh chance, but when a new year turns, it might give some a little more incentive to stay sober. I hope it will for me. I look forward to the challenge and the new beginning. Here's to a positive and strong 2010 for us all.

I'm in. Four months under my belt, but I'd absolutely LOVE to make 2010 my first FULL year.

Count me in. I am two days sober today and I believe that I am going to make 2010 an officially alcohol free year. Done playing around.

I agree with unbrokenchain, dates are important.
Sober since my relapse July 31st, but like the ideal of a new year and new beginning.

Let's do this. Strength in numbers my friends. If one of us falls...we pick 'em up, dust 'em off, and carry on. 2010...here we come.

Maybe you guys can start a 2010 support thread in the forums? We have an August thread that we have been keeping alive for 5 months now. It is great to keep in touch with everyone and really get to know people who are all in the same place in recovery. Just a suggestion. :) I am 52 days sober right now, and let me tell you, it keeps getting better! :)

I started out the new year by cleaning out 2 closets --let go of the old and leave room for the new the less clutter in my life the less clutter in my brain

Me too! 2 days in. I know if I'm posting here in 12 months time I'm going to be in a much better place physically and mentally.

I would LOVE to join in the challenge!! I have been reading SR for a few days now and I am seeing some strong sobriety here!!

I have never had more then 6 mths sober.......one stay in rehab last Nov......I am beating myself up, the disappointment of failing again......will this cycle ever really end? I want to do the work to get and STAY sober!!

Im leaving then "ending" behind and jumping in too! Here is to a great 2010!

I'm in too - on day 2. In good company.

Day 3 here for me. Feeling strong (but a bit foggy-headed). Going to do this.

This might be the most positive group and thread of 2010. We're ready.

2010 will bring many great things our way....on my 6th day and getting so excited that tomorrow will make a "whole" week......i love the support of this site and find it comforting to know that i can turn here when no one else understands
