Feeling antsy

I am going to the movies by myself. I need to get out of the house. Anyone else do that? DH is getting on my nerves, bless his heart and I want to see a chick flick: It's Complicated.

I'm going to see that movie tonight with my sister. Wish you lived closer and we could all go together! In early sobriety I went to the movies by myself alot. Enjoy your popcorn and serenity.

Aysha 12-26-2009 01:06 PM

I havent been to the movies in like 12 years. LOL
I would love to go. I would probably go by myself if i needed to just get away and have some me time.
I really like me time sometimes.
Enjoy the movie.

I'm a movie lover too!

Enjoy yourself!

a movie by myself sounds delicious right now! I am stuck in the house trying to convince the 2 dogs who run this house not to kill the new comer.

wicked 12-26-2009 02:02 PM

you know gypsy feet, i love that picture of the dog.
is it your dog?
looks like she/he is laughing at the silliness of the hat.
LOL

spryte 12-26-2009 02:22 PM

I did the same thing today! Needed to just get away for a couple of hours and getting away via drinking is not an option any more. I saw "Up in the Air"...and I came back feeling much more sane:)

Gypsy Feet 12-26-2009 02:32 PM

that is my dog, but not the one involved in drama today=)

hi nan, i went to the movies a lot in early recovery, i always loved movies anyway, but found it really helpful to 'escape' and gain strength.

i hadnt heard of that movie but have heard a bit about it lately, let me know what it is like.. and i am with ro wouldnt it be great if we could all go together!

avatar is my next one to see , but that is with cousins, aunts etc..

bananagrrrl 12-26-2009 04:11 PM

That would be awesome to all go to the movies together!

It was a cute movie. A nice getaway. I can see that being the 2nd best escape from the craving of the drink.

well, because that dog can laugh! LOL
i am sorry you are struggling with a new comer, my dachshund, miniature that she is would brook no strangers here.
she occasionally just snaps at the cat to remind her whos boss.

oh, sorry for hijacking the thread.
i dont go to the movies, except when there is no one there.
the next one i want to see is "Sherlock Holmes"
I just love Robert Downey Jr. love, love, love him
did i say he is a great actor? LOL
