just_got_30_days,_but_home_alone_this_weekend

Just wanted to tell on myself.

I just recently got a 30 day chip. I'm doing IOP and 90 meetings in 90 days, but I now find myself home alone until Sunday.

I'd be lying if I said my mind hasn't already started to try to talk me into "you know, just grabbing a few beers and enjoying the holidays". Which I know is such crapola. I'd get shyte faced for sure. Thank God I don't have a car right now (b/c I'm a drinker and driver).

I'll call my sponsor today and let him know, but I also wanted to post this on SR.

oh and Happy Holidays!

30 days is awesome! I've heard many here say on these milestones (1 month, 2 months...etc) that relapse is a common thought. So, keep that information in your back pocket...and just know you CAN stay sober. Start going through SR and remember why you aren't drinking. Post, post, post!

Getting through this time will make you so strong!

Awesome job on the 30 days.
You have a good plan, call yr sponsor. Do not listen to those thoughts they lie.
Stay strong, do not drink, it is not worth it. 30 days is a great strart and that judge at yr trial will want to know how you have been doing.

You don't have to be alone. Go to meetings.

My family might start driving me nuts and I will probably need to a hit a few very soon. Tonight I couldn't make one because of dinner.
