Here we are again. Tonight less tired, less lonely, less bothered. Tonight...I just am. I like it. Not really peace, just calm.
This is a pleasant, productive mood. I'll take it.
Thank you for the lovely support.

I'm glad you're feeling better tonight.
And, I'm so impressed that you make your own Christmas cards.
And, calm is good. When I was drinking, my life was frenzied and I love the calm I have found.

Tired, lonely, and quiet. I can relate to that in early recovery. No major words of wisdom to share, other than that with clean and sober time.....tired, lonely, and quiet.....slowly became....content, contemplative, knowing without a doubt that I was surrounded by friends to reach out to for support.

You probably do not know that my adopted son has FAS. Tonight is a different kind of night. I had the chance to talk with a group of kids about the effects of drinking on a developing fetus. I feel like I have taken something so potentially powerfully negative and turned it into a positive thing.
Sleep will be good tonight.
Thanks to all,

I hope everyone is doing well here and thanks for your posts, I can really relate.
Someone recently told me (I had them repeat it and I took notes)
"Boredom, no chaos, no drama, is Gods way of giving you serenity and you don't know what to do with it. An opportunity from God to have peace and you just don't know what to do".
Just thought that was interesting and I would share.
Praying for all those still sick and suffering through the holiday season.
