long term withdrawals?

I have a question for you vets out there. I am 9 days into being clean off opiates. Today was theh first day (besides) in full withdrawls that I had a craving - lasted about 10 minutes. My ankles started burning again - just like I am having withdrawls again. Is there such a thing as "residual" withdrawals? I have been addiced since 2003 and this is the longest I have gone. I have taken Immodium AD about 3 days of the nine. That would not make you have withdrawals again would it? This is not a medical question, just curious if anyone else has experiened this? Staying clean with your help!

There's something called Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome wantto - it's a loose collection of symptoms that many of us here seem to have from time to time

this is as good a page of explanation as any :)
