1st Meeting

NA, went today at lunchtime. Over 20 people there (thank goodness), it was relatively painless. I'll go back. I am listening and every time I feel some resistence come up inside me, shushing it up so I can listen some more.

I got numbers but don't know what to do with them...call? strangers? umm...sure..

I'll hit another meeting tomorrow.

Just thought I'd post this and encourage anyone who is dragging their feet about hitting a meeting. go ahead.

I know how that feels calling random people. Especially with some drama.
I dont feel comfortable doing it.
I have resisted meetings since I started trying to stop using. But I have no other choice anymore.
It is what has worked for so many and the one thing I havent really tried.
But just like with anything you start doing that is new. You will get to know people and then I guess it wont seem so strange calling strangers.
Now only if I remember that for myself.

I guess if I can come here and post....I can call a real life person too...just need to do it, find out it doesn't hurt and move ahead.

the program works, so why fight it? my mantra for the day

I feel strange about calling strangers too, but was told once that they LIKE IT when you call them, as it is helping thier recovery as well.
