Starting over

I have posted in the past and read a lot of items on here. and sad to say no matter how many times I heard that moderation hasn't worked for anyone else I let that voice back in that said "come on you can do it" I was at a wedding this past weekend in Vegas and just woke up the next morning and don't really remember much.... everyone said I was fine I was just having fun but why is that fun. I want to get better but totally keep getting in my own way. well I"m back to day 2 after being at month 6... I'm feeling like a loser.

Definitely not a loser. That voice is sneaky.

I already responded to your post in November so I will not say anything else.

You're not a loser.

Addiction is a relentless disease and denial is a huge part of the issue.

I'm glad you're here.

Hi again Rohnert

I agree with what others have said here...you're not a loser...this thing really is relentless...

for those of us who have crossed that alcoholic line, we just have to remember nothing ever changes with our drinking....ever.

Welcome back

Thanks guys it's funny how that mad at yourself feeling is so familiar when you are this close to it. The reason I lasted the last 5 months was because I held on to that and I will give that a try and also do daily AT LEAST check in's here so I'm crossing my fingers. I am also shocked I didn't go on a week or month bender... the other thing that makes me nervous is I"m going on my Honeymoon a week from today for 2 weeks. My hubby is totally supportive so hopefully I can just keep the voice in MY head away.

Thanks so much for all the support.
