Hey thanks for your post NeverLookinBack. I hope you stick with the sobriety too.
I am more resolute than ever about staying sober one day at a time now, and for people like us, there is no other option.
I have gained a lot from the AA meetings I have been attending and SR is such a fantastic tool for maintaining sobriety also.
I saw an old friend last night in town as I was walking to my car who was with his girlfriend looking all happy. He asked me if I was coming into town and I said I had just finished my AA meeting. His face was a picture. I am proud to go to AA now though and that I am 4.5 months sober. I like the impression a recovering alcoholic gives to peers as it is a better impression than a careless active drunk. Thats not to say it's easy but it's sooo worth it.
