Just my 2 cents....but if you were more in control of your life wouldn't that be a start to a happier life? You would be able to deal with your other problems instead of hiding behind the bottle (please don't take that the wrong way I'm not trying to be mean).

I do know how hard it is and I wish you nothing but the best.

Welcome to my world...

I don't mean to sound preachy, nor do I have any right to be... but if you were sober, you'd see things different. Not a fact, a reality that I have discovered in my limited sobriety. With a counselor, let them know how far it's taken you, how much/if you want to get sober... that's what they're there for.

In the end you have little to lose... except an addiction. I wish the best for you, fully aware that sometimes things don't work out, for whatever reason. Give it your all and see where it goes... again what do you have to lose.

And re: happinesss... it truly is what you make of it. Sobriety has cost me pretty much everything, but I can remove myself and laugh at it all... worth it? He-l yeah.

i dont take anything as mean when i ask for help so no worries there. yes if i was clean it would mean a happir life for neices and neohews who are worried abit me..they 10, and 8 (and 8), i want to look after my neice who was abused make sure she dont go where i am,. i want to see my nephew keep onn doin well at footiem, i want to see my eldesrt safe. i want to be happier to enjoy their lives, my own life and enjoyin is long wa y off..but for them i want to be the fun jody, not the were worried jody

Hang tight until the counsellor you mentioned in the other thread gets there TKK.
My advice is tip the rest out...and go lie down maybe?
