I'd like to introduce myself.
I just stumbled upon these forums this morning.
My higher power works in strange ways indeed. I've been progressing along the road to recovery since february '09. I go to meetings and speak to a sponsor as well as others in recovery. I've also felt that there was something missing.
I found these forums and started reading. The amount of compassion and wisdom conveyed in the posts here has brought a new light into my heart. I'm very happy to find another place where I already feel I can comfortably express my experiences along this new road.
I think the added level of anonymity makes this even more appealing.
I want to thank all of you for sharing your lives here. The candor I have experienced so far reading thru the posts is extremely encouraging to, admittedly, a shy person as myself. I may lurk a bit at first. Yet, I hope to contribute my experiences when appropriate.

Welcome to SR! Glad you decided to introduce yourself and I look forward to hearing more from you in the future. You are right about the helpful, compassionate people here. You will find no better any where else in my opinion.
