Hello everyone and congrats on your sober time!!! I'm still going strong....honestly, I don't know how many days but Oct. 26, 2009 was my last drink:) I haven't been on the forums in a while but have been going to AA meetings. Seems to really help me.

^^^ I'm not counting the days anymore either brother lol. march 21st will be 5 months! I'm on step 10, still making amends from step 9, n making it to meetings when I can at least 1x a week.

Hi Loves to Travel:

Saw the October thread. That's my anniversary month, too! I'm amazed that I'm coming up on eight months next Sunday. Time seems to be flying. I reread some of my journal entries from when I stopped drinking.Those first few months were rough, weren't they? I haven't posted for a while, but I'm reading this site several times a day and keeping up on folks.

A shout-out to the October group:

How's everyone enjoying their sober summer? What's been the highlight so far? I'd have to say that I've rediscovered the joys of a community swimming pool. I get such a kick watching the little kids thrash around in the pool. Makes me realize how much fun it is to play without fear of looking stupid or caring that someone might be judging me. I'm going to have to get back into the real world soon -- and get a full-time job, but for now I'm trying to enjoy the moment and the season.

Hey October 2009 group!http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...cloud9pink.gif I know that quite a few of our members still read here on Sr but don't post. How is everyone doing? I had a hard time at one year and started smoking cigarettes to get me through. Stupid...stupid. Went by 2 years without a problem. This New Years I began to have doubts and thought that I could have a "drink" (yeah .... right). I read SR for hours and didn't find one person who had a drink and made it out safely they were all back to exactly where they were so I decided that everyone here is pretty smart so I had some sparkling grape juice! I think I slept until noon on New Years Day but from staying up late not from drinking.....http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/a...p3u6v2tedr.gif
