almost a month...
Almost a month, still not drinking but still beating myself up over the money I lost and the decisions I made. I know I shouldnt be but it's not easy. Plus I have had a bad cold all week and the weather here just sucks. Sorry just wanted to vent/ talk to someone I guess...

I gave up my job to get sober, I had no choice. Am I worried about money or getting another job? No! I knew if I kept drinking I would end up with nothing,including my family. Better to be broke and sober than six ft under!

Even the good weather in Phoenix didn't erase the trail of wreckage that I created and 27 years of bad decisions 
Be gentle on yourself whenever possible, recovery can be a long process. When I'm beating myself up over the past I try to remember.....how free do I want to be?
It took me months to have the willingness to take the 12 Steps and start working my way to freedom. But years later, I have everything back that I gave away when I made the choice to drink. In fact, I've got much better things in my life now. The richness isn't always measured by wealth, but rather by how full my life is.
