Hi my name is Heidi and I'm a mess...
If this is in the wrong area please feel free to put me in place as I am learning my way around the site and am a bit lost.
I am a recovering addict/alcoholic with 15 years of sobriety, widiwed via heroin overdose, mother of four now dealing with an 18 yr old following in his fathers footsteps.
I have joined here as to not lose my sanity. I live in a very small town where resources are scarce. I am a west coaster stuck in small town middle america, too isolated for my own good.
I hope to make some connections here and find my feet as I have lost my Melody Beattie book!
I look forward to knowing you guys.

Welcome to SR Heidi! You'll find lots of good info and support here. Since you are dealing with your son's addiction, you may want to check out the Friends and Family of Substance Abusers forum.

Well, I got nothing to base the 15 years on, but I can relate to the 'follwing in his father's footsteps...'
