Bubba if you're worried, you know where the ER is right?

Yessir. But it's more that I can't not be sick than the type of problems I have with alcohol. Can you die from this one too? After only a day?

Man, am I stupid sometimes.

ETA: Sign of how bad it is... I don't even want to listen to music. For the first time since July.

I think it's probably a good sign you're up and about and typing Bubba, but the fact is I don't know squat about codeine.

Give that number a ring on PCs link maybe?

TB, it's highly unlikely that you would experience withdrawal symptoms after only one day. Codeine is often mixed with paracetamol (acetominophen), the amount of codeine is quite low but the paracetamol dose is relatively high. The initial symptoms of paracetamol overdose are nausea and vomiting. Paracetamol can be quite toxic to the liver, so it's likely to hit alcoholics a little harder. If you start to feel worse, please go to the ER without delay.

Codeine overdose would make you feel very drowsy. I'm not a doctor, so please, if you don't start to feel better soon, go see one.

Thirtybubba, box is right, too much Codeine and too much Tylenol.
Remember what yr Doctor told U when U saw him/her the first time!!
Everything is processed via the liver, everything that U injest, goes thur the liver.
U will B sick from all those pills, please try 2 remember this, flush the remaining pills.
Do not drink either, get 2 that NA meeting. Make changes in yr life, remain sober and clean, try this 4, 30 days, I know U can do this.
Stay strong, fight 4 yr life.

Yup, I think that was it--codeine overdose. Just not used to being able to overdose... it didn't occur to me.

Fell asleep around the time these links were posted, so I didn't call that number, but I'm doing better today, fell asleep freezing cold, afraid to move too much or I'd have to vomit, and woke up almost 12 hours later.

Well, I learned some things about codeine. Faerie said it best. Codeine is a nasty drug.

I'm sticking it at the top of my list of drugs whose (perceived) benefits don't come close to the resulting negative.

Take care y'all,
TB, who unfortunately may go out again... but not with codeine
