Thumbs down Seasonal changes are hard.

I had a hard time at the start of summer, and now with autumn it is doing the same thing. I am struggling today big time and i know it is seasonal with the change of weather and day light. I went to AA this afternoon and got nothing out of it. I am not going to drink but just feeling like pure sh#t today due to the changes. Anyone else struggling with this?

September and October are the most difficult months for me (not sure why) as well as November and December because of the holidays--we all have our triggers and we just have learn ways to fight them. I like your quote.

A lot of people seem to suffer this BKP.

I'm not a doctor so I'm not suggesting you have this but there's even a SAD syndrome (Seasonal Affective Disorder)

Seasonal Affective Disorder

For me sometimes it helps to realise I feel a certain way due to various outside factors, and thats ok - it's a natural reaction to something.

I can work around things and know that these feelings will pass

Im a Fall lover but hate the Spring.

Like u hear its different for most.

You went to an AA meeting today?

Usely when i go to a meeting i am
able to take what i need from it
and leave the rest.

Im more of a greeter when i go to
meetings....greeting people by saying
hello or giving a hug, or just being
polite.

Did you do any of those things when
u went? If u did how did it make u feel?

Where there smiles exchanged amongst
buddies? Someone u havent seen in
awhile?

Because i get so nervous to share, im
comfortable with talking one on one
or when i bring my tray of goodies,
it allows me to accept thank you's
or i appreciate it.

That makes a meeting worth while
going for me.

Just being around others just like
me,
going thru the same similar situa-
tions as I.

Just to know that im not alone in
my addiction.

I feel the same way, the days are shorter and it's cold outside. I really struggle during these times bc there is nothing to do and bordem is a trigger for most of us. Winter months get me down badly!!

-Where do we go when we just don't know and how do we relight the flame when it's cold, why do we dream when our thoughts mean nothing and when will we learn to control.....I need serenity. -Godsmack

Hi BKP,

I love the early Fall period, but by now, where I live, it is cold, rainy and grey. I find this seasonal transition the hardest. It seems like the colors fade and the days are shorter.
