If you are sober, currently in recovery, or still struggling with alcohol, drugs, or any type of addiction, feel free to join us! We encourage you to suggest any topic you may want to discuss. We look forward to seeing both regular and new SR members, and to discuss addiction and recovery.

As a reminder, here are the Chatroom Guidelines. If you attend a meeting and wish to share, type “!” and wait for the Host to call on you. When you’ve finished sharing, please remember to type “done”.

LOL! Thanks for the compliments. Actually, Butterfly19 designed this catchy "flyer" over a year ago, and I just modified it a bit.

I think that we all try to give back the kindness and hope we were freely offered here in SR; that's the spirit which makes SR a truly unique place Hugs! ps see you all in the meetings

I wish they had more days. I could have really used one last night. I am fine now.
My SR goal is to get that 6 mos and possibly host one myself. LOL If they will let me.
I have wanted to do that here for some time now.
Got a few more months to go.

Anyone interested in chairing a meeting needs to have at least six months of sobriety/recovery under their belt. Get in touch with Rowan so she can approve your request... It helps if you actively participate in the forum and know your way around the chatroom Once Ro has okayed you, and a date/timeslot has been determined, just let us monitors know, we'd be happy to help you out during your first few meetings.

Oops, thought I'd point out, I meant to thank the first part of Aysha's post, about more chat meetings.

And I'd be just fine with thanking the part about her wanting to host one. And I hope she does get that six months, a year...

But I didn't mean thanks that as in, I also would like to volunteer. Got nothing against volunteering, myself or anyone else, but in my particular case, I'd be terrified of having responsibility over recovering people with only six months... I'd have to volunteer somewhere where I would feel more confident in my ability to know what was going on.

Just thought I'd clarify that, sorry.

I really enjoyed that meeting. I am sorry for rambling. I was just so excited cause I havent attended one in so long. Thx to everyone who was there. Thx Kev for hosting. Your allowed to run late. Thx matty for the updates and the support. And Ang for sharing as well.
