I had a hard time banishing the negative thoughts this morning, but forced them away. I'll drive to the beach & stare at the ocean and be thankful I'm not jonesing for a drink today!

Day 1 – I woke up this morning feeling stiff, dehydrated and generally not motivated. I'm thrilled those sensations were all the result of vigorous exercise and working my tail off all weekend on moving and home improvement projects. On Day 133 of sobriety.

feeling pretty crappy... but i know i would even feel more crappy if i was drinking... doing something about it... should feel better soon!

Week 1 Day 4
Last week my eldest son moved into the house he just purchased.
I was a Mr. Mom and stayed at home with my kids and raised them since he was 6 and the youngest was 2. I am proud that he is carving out a life of his own.
He had some troubles on his way and I aam glad he turned out good so far.

Day 2 – Worked on freelance projects last night and got a lot done. That would not have occurred 134 days ago. Getting a leg up on a busy three weeks before an autumn vacation.

Day 2 and I feel peaceful this morning and I feel able to rise to the challenges that today may present.

The most positive thing in my life today is the constant love of my dogs... and that is a very positive thing - it keeps me alive.

I am feeling positively today about earning money- things are looking up. that and that I made it through last night sober- there were afew moments where the cravings came out of nowhere, but I was able to ignor them.

My roommie is taking me out tonight to a fancy place sans gf to thank me for being his "best platonic girl friend ever" haha.

After years of knowing I was an alcoholic (functional?), I'm glad intervention happened before I could drag it into my upcoming marriage.

I am completely blog, chat, post ignorant. I hope I don't lose this thread.

Oops, missed yesterday, so I am doing week 1 days 3 AND 4

Yesterday I didn't drink after being thrown two curve balls out of nowhere.

Today, opportunities to deal with those curve balls were presented, and it's going to be okay.

I am grateful and happy today because it is warm and sunny and I get to ride my motorcycle to work and back.

Beautiful day, here. Fall is in the air!

I'm so thankful for waking up sober. Even if I get a crappy nights sleep, it feels much better than waking up hungover.

Just what is the charm of waking up every single morning feeling like crap? Because I did it for 30 years....in fact I couldn't fathom my life without it. Go figure!
