Week 1 Day 2
I was going to write something about my marriage but after reading every one elses posts I decided that for today the response to this topic is what is great.
I think if everyone participates everyday for the 4 weeks and FEELS a positivity in their life that after the challenge is over we will all be more positive people and that we will be better equipped to lead a satisfying sober life.
I positively believe that that will be the outcome for me and all that participate.

I enjoyed your whats good today thread Ayisha and that was one of the reasons I started this challenge so thank you. I like the fixed time frame of this as it keeps me dedicated to posting on it knowing that it has an end point and at the end I will have experienced some kind of results.

Well I didn't join up yesterday because I honestly couldnt think of one good thing (my head was up my backside in a big way )

Today I am positive about the fact that I didn't drink over my misery yesterday and can start fresh without having let myself down

Week 1 Day 2

Today, I am going to get my hair cut and colored. A simple change, but I have always felt something from an outside change when I am working hard on the inside changes.

Also, that I have a day where I could choose to do absolutely nothing, but WANT to anyway.

I did let the little stuff go yesterday, and my day went better because of it. I still intend to deal with it on Monday...but I feel much calmer about it.

So, I guess today I will continue to work on my attitude....about the small stuff. Why is that stuff so huge?!

Coming in a day late also but I accept the challenge and hope for good results.

Today is a bright, warm, semi-autumn day and I love being able to walk watch the changing leaves and birds preparing to migrate. There was a time when I might not have noticed what kind of day it was or even what month.

And because I tend to procrastinate, I will write down 3 things I have put off and make sure they get done as soon as possible this week, which will make me feel better to have them out of the way and show me that the time needed to complete the task was brief compared to the time I used up procrastinating about it.

Thanks Fub, I feel motivated already.

Hugs

Week 1 Day 3
In this day and age of disposable relationship I am happy that I just had my 33'rd anniversary this past weekend. I think that most people would be happier if they were willing to put out the effort to make their relationships work instead of just tossing them aside and seeking greener pastures as soon as the going gets a little tough.

As negative thoughts enter my head I am still fighting to eliminate them. This challenge will be a process for me and I hope at the end the frequency of harmful thoughts entering my head will be greatly diminished.

Fubar, congrats on the 33 years. I agree with you there...

And I figure those negative thoughts will get less and less frequent, as positive things happen more and more...

Maybe that's just a positive thought?

Hopefully, it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

Happy Day 3, and Happy Anniversary! Relationships are hard....the ones you work the hardest for have the greatest rewards, imo. We celebrated 30 years this year. So very gratifying.

I'm serious about putting the small stuff in it's place. I have seen an improvement in my attitude....but, it's Monday, so all bets are off.

Have a Positively Brilliant Monday, all!

Day two: my little dog was limping this morning and couldn't climb the stairs. I prayed for his healing and now he's doing fine, his leg isn't bothering him anymore. It really helps renew my faith when I see God taking care of his little creatures whom I love so much.

Day 3:

I take full responsibility in taking care of my mental health. I'm much better now for it. Not cured, obviously, I just have a much better grip on things. I can function.

I am back at work today and all seems good. I had a slip over the weekend, but I truly think it was just a small one - back on track!

Hello peeps!

I am feeling good today- and sore from yesterday's workout. Today I am so thankful for my sobriety, and feeling artisitically inspired for the first time in a while. I am working on week two, but concentrating on today
