It's interesting you've managed to get away with telling so many good people here to **** off. Many of them people well respected here. Your anger will kill you btw.But it also explains a lot.
Go back to the title of your post. The answer is very clear to all of us.
I hope you wake up to it soon.

oddbird...this thread is a little bit out of hand...please read some of the other threads...pm some members who you feel are trying to understand you and help you....no not i or anyone else can "save" you...but....some of us can be a valuable help to you in trying to find and hang on to sobriety.
I hope you keep hanging out here cause a lot of people will care...not 24/7 cause we have other parts of our lives...but I think if you are here you want to be sober and sane...and that is the bond that can help you....we all want that. (hug) sorry i'm a hugger person (hug)
as angry and upset as you may be at alot of people and situations...search for the support that is here and use it .... thats what i do every day and it makes a big difference.
look for the support that helps you here and build on it...it can work..but it isnt always easy...we all have it in us to stay sobr and have good lives...just put in your part and look for what works...

I have read through this thread and I am sad for you, odd.
All any of us want when we get here is someone, anyone else to listen, to care and to relate to. Well, we are here for you. We can only keep the peace and serenity that we have by offering to others suffering, what was so freely given to us.
So, what can I do? Can I listen? Can I offer support? Tell us what you need and maybe we can help. But we can not help if you do not let us in. Your anger is a defense but it will also continue to be your jail.
You have some clean time under your belt as you have stated. What you do not have is peace, serenity and recovery. That is what we can help you with. If only you will let us.
I wish you well.

I really cant see why nobody got back to you, if your attitude was anything like it has been here they would have responded with something like this \/

I don't have a lot of time here, and the time I have been here, I've spent reading. It's been very positive and given me a lot to think about.
Even oddbirdman going off like this offers me something to learn from.

People here have been both empathetic and harsh, trying to help you in their own way. We all have lives to lead but spent time here trying to understand & help you - to say things that might make a difference in your life. Why sabotage yourself by mocking us and driving us away?
I think if anything else this can serve to remind is that:
1. Sobriety does not equal recovery.
2. Drunk or sober, some people are just a**holes.
3. No one can help someone that isn't ready to help themselves.
4. The addict/alcoholic mind can be sick, arrogant, and selfish.

Oddbird...
You posted something a bit different on your last post. Then you edited it to include just the last line. But you took out the most important part... Some very important info about yourself. I took that as an indication that you might be ready to ask for some help... And an explaination of sorts about why you are like you are...
You want to try again??

When one is really ready for recovery one will not let a single thing stand in thier way. One will do what ever they need to do to get help, they will not let one person or a hundred people who may have shunned them stop them from getting help.
You say no one in NA or AA has helped you? Have you gone to one single meeting?
You say you are going to be moving to go back to school, why not put forth the same effort and move your self to a meeting?
