lonely

went to a luncheon meeting which was fine and at the end we all circled up for the Lord's Prayer. And I thought, I'm a Buddhist this isn't working then I felt the hands holding mine in hope and realized in fellowship there is only hands holding hands. I am convinced Bill was/is a Buddha.

Hey you guys take care. Thanks for supporting me. I can't go on and I don't know how to quit.

Been there my friend. Don't give up - It takes a lot of effort to quit. Learn from others by attending meetings; it works!

A lot of times it seems impossible - That is why it is critical to focus on one day at a time!

I would very much doubt it-but you were drunk when you posted this.I hope you get the help you need.It wasn't hard to guess you haven't been sober lately.Don't give up though.I don't think any human being is worthy of being looked up to as a God.They simply don't deserve it IMO.

Buddha was never a God, he was just awake.

I'm aware he wasn't considered a 'God'.Perhaps I was too loose in my terminology.I think I made my point anyway.

He was and is considered a 'Deity' however by many.(however you want to interpret that)

That aside, I do hope you get some real help Fitz.

"Non-doing has nothing to do with being indolent or passive. Quite the contrary. It takes great courage and energy to cultivate non-doing, both in stillness and in activity. Nor is it easy to make a special time for non-doing and to keep at it in the face of everything in our lives which needs to be done.

But non-doing doesn’t have to be threatening to people who feel they always have to get things done. They might find they get even more ‘done,’ and done better, by practicing non-doing. Non-doing simply means letting things be and allowing them to unfold in their own way. Enormous effort can be involved, but it is graceful, knowledgeable, effortless effort, a ‘doerless doing,’ cultivated over a lifetime."

"The birth of a man is the birth of his sorrow. The longer he lives, the more stupid he becomes, because his anxiety to avoid unavoidable death becomes more and more acute. What bitterness! He lives for what is always out of reach! His thirst for survival in the future makes him incapable of living in the present."
