I don't know what kind of city you're in? Big or small? I would look online for an AA/NA 800 number and give them a call. They will give you great suggestions for your area. Welcome to SR!! This is a great place to be.

I don't have much useful information to add, but wanted to welcome you to SR also. Hopefully some more will come on with helpful information. Weekends can be slow on SR.

Hi Katy,

I have no advice, but I am glad that you're working hard on your recovery.

Get a sponsor and keep in close touch.

Call others in the program, or the sponsor, on nights you can't make a meeting.

Welcome to SR Katy

I'm not in AA myself but I imagine you're not the only person who works 12-9
Not sure if you mean 12 am or pm but I hope you find there's meeting times that suit you.

Hope to see you around some more
D

Hi & Welcome, Katy.

Stay around some...

Don't know much about AA meetings, less where you're at, but what Tommy said sounds like a good idea.

Hello & welcome to the Sober Recovery community.

Meetings can play a vital part of our ongoing recovery
& gives us the opportunity to help another stay sober.
If you have a meeting list, you may find some you can attend
with your schedule. Congratulations on starting the new job!!!
Thank you for staying sober and for finding a new way to live.

Most weekdays, I attend an early risers meeting (7:30am). Do you have anything like that in your area? Another idea could be to arrange to meet for coffee. I've heard that all that's needed for a meeting is 2 drunks (or druggies), a pot of coffee, and a resentment.

Personally, I would prefer restaurant coffee in the company of one or two other addicts gathered to have a conversation that might start with the daily meditation or something from the literature. Something like that could help me to stay focused on my recovery if I couldn't make enough scheduled meetings.

90/90 can be hard when you're working, I know. I commend you for trying it. The only way that I have been able to get 90/90 is to double up meetings on Tuesdays and Fridays (although it's not the ideal of one meeting a day for three months, it keeps me on track with meetings).
