New after slipping at 3.5 years

Took me two years to get back, and I am on day 2.

Boy am I glad this is here. I have been to two meetings, but they are held about every 5 hours locally, and mornings are the worst time for me, ie, when I am the most panicky and feeling isolated.

I'm sorry you have struggled for a couple of years, but it's great that you are here and sober. I hope you take a look around and become inspired.

I'm glad you made it back, there are many who don't. I go to AA meetings too and I use the phone and SR inbetween them. Get some numbers if you don't have them. Good luck.

Thank you for the welcome.

I am going to do a lot of reading. It's back to basics for me.

I have numbers, including one from a lady who's sharing really connected, but even then, I just could not dial that phone this morning. Just like I couldn't 2 years ago when I found myself in an airport lounge tossing away 3.5 years

The phone is very heavy, but the more calls you make it gets lighter. Raise your hand at your next meeting and ask for some phone numbers. I know at my meetings we are all so willing to help a newcomer and I'm sure its the same by you. If you need to talk PM me anytime.

Welcome to SR! I'm on day 3 myself. There's a September group thread in this forum that you might want to check out.

We have them about every 4-5 hours here, there's at least 6 per day available just at the Club I attend, and many more throughout the Phoenix area. I'm grateful, many areas have them less frequently. I hope you'll do your best to make it to as many as possible, and not drink in between meetings. Get some phone numbers and make friends, most AA'ers are very social and helpful, it's part of recovery.

Welcome to SR, I'm glad you've decided to join us.

North Scottsdale Fellowship Club - Home-Home oxy, please pick up a Valleywide meeting list at Gifts-Anon or usually they have them for purchase at local meetings. It lists all meetings in the Metro Phoenix area, there are over 2,000 every week.

Maybe we'll meet up someday? Glad you're seeking info.

Wow, that was me to a "T"!!! 3.5 yrs sobriety, took 2 years to come back. And boy, those 2 years literally nearly killed me, rehad 3 times, ER with my organs shutting down, Yellow, detoxes, and a dui. It was hell, BUT I did make it back and you can too. Get to as many meetings as you can. I sat my butt in the chair at all the meetings I could get to, not wanting to be there, not wanting to be an alcoholic, angry, frustrated. But it works, I KNEW I had to be there. I will have 1 year again on Monday, stay strong!!
