Something uplifting.
I work in mental health with young adults with Mental retardation, Autism, and other disabilities. It is an uphill hike in the snow, with no shoes most of the time a majority of the time. I work with 5 teenagers who have struggles with outside issues along with issues with disabilities. One of the oldest young men told me today that I was making his life helpful, he is dealing with his fathers death (last summer) and it is hard for him everyday. I don't need or want to go into more detail but thought I would share this with you guys. I think that my everyday struggles are hard and without drinking it can be really hard but with AA and the support of you and everyone else it is a positive approach to work and working when I do. When I was drinking I was more intrested in my own drinking and I was a much more selfish person. So thanks everyone for allowing me to not to be selfish.
