I'm Lonely
I'm Lonely
All I've got is my sobriety and I need to be held. I have no family, I have no friends. Just me and no bottle. I feel like a pathetic C&W song. Its still all good. Namaste
Mycool, that goes second 4 me..
Hold us both and know that U R loved. Have we both romanced U enough....
This is so normal.
I know about being lonely and hubby is out of town until the end of next week.
Get out there, hook up with someone, I know that if she found U, it will B a jewel 2 hold onto...
Saty strong.

I'm sorry that you're lonely and hurting, and encourage you to get out there are be social, if it's meant to be, I'm sure there's the right person waiting for you.
I spent the beginning 6-7 months of my sobriety really feeling lonely but at the same time really connecting with myself.
The puppy is actually a good idea. I got a dog right when I got sober and he changed my life for the better. I mean it might seem silly but it also is a really good ice breaker to meeting new people...

Yeah, Mycool.
Does your apartment allow pets? I know that on some lonely nights when my kids are gone then I rely on my cat Sammy for company. Sammy and SR that is. It is something worth considering. I seem to remember you saying that you have a dog but that your future ex has him/her. Maybe you could at least have a cat in your place if nothing else. Just a thought.

Yep have 5 months of that last year, it is really shite! Thanks to AA i now have more friends to go out with than i ever have and been to 3 parties in the last 3 weeks, thats 3 more ive been to compared to the last 3 years of drinking! I guess there is a solution to the loneliness then:-)
Thanks guys I'll get off my pity post now, getting blisters where the sun don't want to shine. As far as a pet goes, lost 3 wives, 3 homes and 3 dogs during my addiction. Still miss those dogs.
Fitz when my family is out of town I have to chose to be alone, if I need a hug, a REAL hug, or need someone to talk with, go out to coffee or even dinner all I do is go to a meeting, one thing about AA is the folks there will love you until you learn to love yourself, and will continue to love you afterwards.
Want friends? Not drinking buddies, go to an AA meeting.
