One down, one to go
 

I was in my friend's wedding in NY this weekend and made it through without a scratch! It was great. I hit a meeting up there and hung out with some other non-drinkers, but still got funky on the dance floor with the normies. :danse1b:

I prayed extra-hard and brought God with me, because he is the only thing bigger than alcohol. I had a wonderful time and felt great in the mornings :)

My brother's wedding is next weekend in Miami, and I have renewed faith that I can make it through this one too (can't get cocky though... all the accolades belong to God). Anyone live there? Want to meet at a meeting?

What a wonderful feeling to truly enjoy such a blessed day without drowning in booze. I am so grateful. :)

Congratulations! Do the hustle for me at your brother's wedding.

Congrats!!! Stay strong and remember how great it was to make it thru!!!:)

Update:
Brother's wedding = cancelled. Or at least postponed. I think this fiance is a fraud. Am I paranoid???

LOL I can't answer that Quse56 - but at least thats one challenge put off for now :)

Congrats on the wedding, glad to hear you got to hit a meeting, sorry about your brothers wedding. Out of town meeting are awesome, get to see that the program is the same and we are never alone unless we choose to be.

Yeah so... the fiance IS a fraud. So. Much. Insanity. She faked everything. Photos, family history, wedding plans, everything. Shs is mentally ill. It's the most insane thing I have ever seen first hand.

It's a good thing that I am SOBER enough for him to believe me when I told him everything I found on her! My poor brother :(

She even faked 2 siblings in recovery for me to hang out with and go to meetings with. Unreal. I feel terrible about opening up to this phoney about my addiction history. It makes me ill to think that this woman knows all this about me.

It's so messed up. I thought I was getting AWAY from insanity by getting sober....
