Yeah, welcome Chrissyeman.
1. If I drink again, then I have to go through withdrawals again. Unless I've gone and took it too far, in which case I die. Also, if I go through withdrawals again I might die. Sobriety may kill me too, but the odds are better that I'll last longer.
2. I liked that time when I had 9, 10, 11 days of sobriety, I liked waking up all bouncy and feeling like doing things and getting them done.
3. I am losing the support and even respect of those are (suddenly, hmmm) recently willing to help me deal with the things out of my knowledge range, and without that help, I also lose any realistic ability to go forward with my life.
4. It's not fun and no longer allows me to avoid dealing with things, so it's really an expensive waste of time. A set of jacks would serve the same purpose, and that's a dollar.
5. I promised myself I wouldn't.

Why I am weaning myself off of codeine.
1] My health, particularly my liver.
2] To stop the emotional numbness and deal with my issues head on
3] So I can now be honest with my family and friends
4] My Self respect
5] So I can enjoy a happier, healthier sober life again.

1. My kids deserve a mother who is truly THERE for them and not in La La Land
2. My self-esteem and sense of worth as a person
3. My health (& my sleep, & my exercise)
4. Being way more productive at home and at work
5. No longer being a jackass and saying stupid things to ex-boyfriends online
6. Being able to wake up in the morning feeling good and not having to piece together what embarrassing things I did the night before
(Sorry, couldn't limit it to 5 )

Five reasons
1) My family
2)I like the feeling of my feet on the ground - even when its bumpy
3)I like being able to rest my head on the pillow at night without regrets
4)I like who I am sober - and the healthy people I attract into my life now
5)I never want to travel "without a map" ever again - I get lost easily.

1. I hope my life will go somewhere...instead of spending all those afternoons, evenings, and nights drinking, and all those days following anxious, and fearful. I hope I'll do something productive.
2. Hopefully I'll stop avoiding my problems and deal with them...instead of keeping people at bay and drowning my emotions in alcohol.
3. I hope to stop waking up having destroyed property, or somewhere I wasn't supposed to be, or finding new bruises on my body throughout the week.
4. I hope to feel strength from doing something I didn't think I could do.
5. I hope my personal relationships are more bonded, stronger, and not reliant on alcohol.
